Drop off a new blanket at the Hiawatha Library until Saturday, December 1. Sponsored by Kid-Powered Kindness

Help keep feet warm this winter by dropping off new men and women's socks at the Hiawatha Library! Drive ends Thursday, November 30.
Food for Fines
The Hiawatha Library will pay your overdue fines when you drop off non-perishable items at the Hiawatha Library! This event will end Thursday, November 30.
HACAP Mobile Food Pantry

The Hiawatha Public Library is now a location for HACAP's Mobile Food Pantry. The Mobile Food Truck will be here on the first Monday of the month from 2 to 3 p.m. (or until supplies run out). *Will not meet if the first Monday falls on a holiday.

Wednesday, November 14: Zumba Toning: Lightweight maraca-like Toning Sticks enhances sense of rhythm and coordination, while toning target zones, including arms, core and lower body.
Wednesday, December 12: BollyX: Bollywood-inspired dance-fitness progra.m. that combines dyna.m.ic choreography with the hottest music from around the world.

You'll find the perfect gift for that special someone at the annual Holiday Bazaar at Prairiewoods, 120 E. Boyson Road. Stock up on baked goods for parties or last-minute house guests. There will be coffee, warm apple cider, breakfast items and lunch available for purchase. The newly renovated Gift Shop will offer Prairiewoods Tree-shirts in beautiful royal blue, books on spirituality and ecology, wind chimes, scarves, felted wool animals and change purses, and new Prairiewoods' wood-grain journals and 2019 wall calendars! Local vendors will offer handcrafted goods such as knitted and crocheted items, baked goods, jewelry, journals, mixed-media art, pottery, handmade toys and holiday orna.m.ents. Harry Potter Escape Room

Test your Harry Potter knowledge and race against the clock. You'll have 30 minutes to find the charmed key that unlocks the wardrobe door. Be wary of Nargles & Cornish Pixies that might get in your way.
For this challenge, registration is required. This progra.m. is open to teens and adults. Each tea.m. can have a maximum of 6 players.

Focus on your breathing while practicing this gentle form of yoga.
You will want to wear clothes that you can move in and are comfortable in. You might also want to bring a water bottle.
This class will be led by certified yoga instructor: Lauren Shuster.

When Queen Elsa's home is cursed with perpetual winter, her sister Anna, a mountain man, a reindeer and a snowman tea.m. up to change the weather. Popcorn will be provided.

Join us for the second annual Reindeer Fun Run/Walk December 1st, 2018 at 9a.m. in Hiawatha! The race will start and end at Fay M. Clark Memorial Park (located at the north end of 18th avenue next to AirFX). The Friends of Hiawatha Parks and Recreation Foundation will be having a food drive for non-perishable food items donated to the HACAP food reservoir during the holiday season! Each runner will receive a stocking hat with their registration fee along with Hot Cocoa, Candy Canes, Cookies and SANTA when you cross the finish line! Get in the groove during the holiday season! Registration is $20 per participant, $25 the week of the race. The money raised during this event will be put towards a new pet fountain at our upcoming Hiawatha Dog Park. Come join the fun and help raise some funds for new park a.m.enities.

Join us for a fun evening of holiday fun and an awesome POUND workout, plus an ugly sweater contest with prizes, AND a white elephant gift exchange! (gifts can be anything that is NOT new, and something in your home you no longer use, want, or do not mind getting rid of!--this should be fun!)
We will start the evening with the ugly sweater contest and gift exchange, then Rock out to a fun holiday POUND class! Bring a yoga mat, water, and be ready to Rock!
