Hiawatha FunFest a celebration of summer in August

Celebrate summer with Hiawatha FunFest August 23-24 in Guthridge Park.
This family-friendly event will kick off with a Friday night Concert in the Park from 6-9 p.m., followed by Movies Under the Moon from 9-11 p.m.
The festivities continue Saturday morning with a pancake breakfast sponsored by the HiCREW Kiwanis Club from 8-11 a.m. and a 5K Fun Run by the Hiawatha Fire Department at 8 a.m.
A parade will begin at 11 a.m., ending in Guthridge Park where inflatables, food, and music and entertainment will be available. An ice cream-eating contest sponsored by Culvers, a water balloon contest, and face painting are also being planned.
A Trackless Train, the National Guard Rock Wall, and a Euro Bungee Trampoline and Zip Line will be available. A fireworks display will end the festival at dusk.
