Podiatry Specialists of Iowa puts best foot forward

Hiawatha residents are fortunate to have a variety of medical practices, optometrists, and dentists to choose from. And now, with the addition of Podiatry Specialists of Iowa, the list continues to grow.

Podiatry Specialists of Iowa, 754 N. Center Point Road, Hiawatha, opened July 2. Podiatrist Dr. Todd Dolphin performs a complete list of foot services such as treating heel pain, ingrown toenails, bunions, hammertoes, fractures and surgeries.

"Basically, anything from the ankle down," said Kerrie Recker, office manager. "Dr. Dolphin also provides surgical services at St. Luke's, Mercy Medical and Cedar Rapids Surgery Center."

According to Recker, Dolphin has been practicing foot care for 18 years. Originally from Dubuque, Dolphin graduated from the University of Northern Iowa and Des Moines Medical University, and previously practiced with Podiatry Associates, PC for 10 years before opening his own office.

"We strive to listen to our patients and get them the best possible care ... our goal is to make sure every single day that we have made a difference in someone's life," Recker said.
