Summer fun goes virtual in Marion

Two of Marion's favorite summer events have gone virtual. The Marion by Moonlight concerts, sponsored by Farmers State Bank, can be enjoyed on Thursday nights in June. KCRG 9.2 partnered with the bank to bring the music over the airways. On June 18, The Evan Stock Band will be featured, and Well Strung will wrap up the series on June 25.

On July 16, Uptown Marion is hosting the sixth annual Eat. Drink. & Be Marion: Food & Pub Crawl Fundraiser with a twist. To keep event attendees, volunteers and businesses top priority, the format will be changing to a virtual event also. Attendees will be able to select donor levels from the Uptown Marion website and receive an at-home (or with a small group of friends) pub crawl kit that will include the year's logo'd drinkware and other swag. Attendees will be encouraged to shop local eat and drink establishments in preparation for the event where there will be online entertainment options, prizes and the annual experiences auction on the night of the event. The annual Logo drinkware will be utilized for Uptown promotion nights in the district businesses, dates yet to be determined based on health and safety protocols.
