Marion Mayor signs 750 letters to Marion/Linn-Mar 2020 graduates

Brooke Prouty, director of Uptown Marion, came up with the idea to make the graduation of the city's 2020 seniors a little more special: having a letter, signed by the mayor on behalf of the City of Marion, Chamber of Commerce and Uptown Marion congratulating them on their accomplishments.

"Dear Member of the Class of 2020,

On behalf of the City of Marion, Marion Chamber of Commerce, Uptown Marion District and Marion Economic Development Corp., I want to congratulate you on your accomplishments and wish you the best as you prepare to graduate and begin a new chapter of your life. While your senior year isn't ending how anyone would have imagined, we want you to know that your community is very proud of you and will be cheering for you as you chase your dreams! Wherever your future takes you, we hope you'll always remember that you have a home in Marion.
