Fans allowed in grandstands for racing

After weeks of local racing fans being forced to stream their racing action on various streaming platforms, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds announced that race tracks around the state of Iowa are allowed to let fans sit in the grandstands of their events. The capacity is limited to just 50 percent of seating but this is a huge breakthrough for speedways all over the state.
Marion drivers such as Jason Doyle and Alicia Steepleton among others have been competing wherever they can find action early on this year. Some tracks have been hesitant to run without fans as the promoters are skeptical of whether or not they can draw in money. However, with fans now allowed at least in some capacity, tracks are beginning to start their weekly slate of races along with specials.
