Baseball, softball practices underway
by Brandon Leonard [email protected] · June 4th, 2020

Schools around the state of Iowa were chomping at the bit Monday to get out and practice baseball and softball. Teammates and coaches congregated to their respective facilities to practice summer sports while following the guidelines put in place to still encourage good health practices in an attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Some schools kicked off practice just minutes after the clock turned from Sunday to Monday after what felt like years of waiting to be with their teammates and coaches again.

Linn-Mar and the Mississippi Valley Conference will be holding sophomore and varsity games for baseball while softball is just operating with varsity only per the conference. The CRANDIC will be in charge of ninth grade and junior varsity games for baseball and junior varsity and sophomore games for softball.

Games are scheduled to begin on June 15 around the state of Iowa.
