Chmelicek to be an Eagle

Linn-Mar senior Molly Chmelicek recently announced her intentions to continue her career as a student-athlete. Chmelicek took to Twitter to announce she would be turning in her red and black for blue and white, becoming a Kirkwood Community College Eagle as a member of their women's basketball team.

Chmelicek joins a team that is coming off an incredibly successful campaign. The Eagles finished with a record of 29-4 overall last season with three of their losses coming to the top-ranked team in the country, North Iowa Area Community College.

Chmelicek was a role player for the Lions last season and although she was not a stat sheet stuffer, she brings an incredible amount of energy and passion for the game of basketball and will look to make more leaps during her time at Kirkwood.
