As part of the Marion City Council's ongoing commitment to connect with residents, council members will continue to hold regular office hours. Every Saturday, one or more council members will be available to interact with residents between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. in the lobby of the Marion Public Library located at 1095 6th Avenue.

"Communication and community outreach are important," said Mayor Nicolas AbouAssaly. "We want to meet people where they are and invite residents to share ideas and ask questions of their elected officials."

In addition, Mayor AbouAssaly invites all Marion residents for coffee and conversation the last Saturday of each month from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Marion Hy-Vee, 3600 Business Highway 151. A table will be reserved in the dining area.

This week's City Council office hours set for November 11, 2017, are cancelled in observance of Veterans Day.
