It's been about two weeks since the Linn-Mar boys' golf team has picked up a team win; however the team has remained consistent, placing second at the

Mississippi Valley Conference - Mississippi Division meet, and second on Monday night at Bunker Hill in Dubuque.

At the MVC Divisional, it was Cedar Rapids Xavier who beat out the Lions, while Dubuque Wahlert earned the victory on Monday over Linn-Mar. In the Mississippi Conference, Linn-Mar stands just over a stroke behind Xavier with an average of 159.74 in combined nine-and 18-hole, top four players total. Xavier's scores put them in first in the conference with an average of 158.29. Whalert is ranked third behind Linn-Mar with an average of 165.96.

The Lions were back in action again this week on Tuesday at Beaver Hills (results unknown at press time) and will look to gain ground at the Mississippi Divisional final round at Jones Park next Monday, September 25, with shotgun start at 9 a.m.
